So hey everybody. You won't be reading this until a few weeks after this post, but this is gonna be important to read so please please, do read this.
I am Damian Dren Vardette, or as you guys know me, DDV/Somebody Epic. You'r eprobably hear for one of two things. The first thing, and main reason you're probably here, if because I'm That Really Popular Allround Guitarist Guy. Or, you could just want to stalk me. To be perfectly honest, you can stalk me. Stalk me all you want. Show up at my son's wedding to find me in about twenty years. I don't care.
So, it's Saturday. First day of October. This means that this is the weekend before the HUH YOOGE Allround All Hallow's Eve tour starts up. Where are we gonna be? What are the show times? Who's gonna be there?
Starting Monday, we head on down to Texas. We'll have a show in Dallas or Houston, probably Dallas. As usual, we'll spend about two or three days there. Then, we'll swing on around to the West Coast and do some shows in Orange County. If you find yourself in Orange County, then you'll find us if we're there, I assure you. And after that, we'll do some shows in Las Vegas (HELL YES!), and then we'll start going to some of the wetter states. Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon; Helena, Montana. Then we'll hook around and go to New York - the Big Apple is where we'll do two or three shows (two or three days total). We will then go straight south down the rest of the East Coast. Those locations, I'm NOT sure of. You should probably call the director and ask about those, but we will be doing four cities there. After that, we'll def go to Florida and do some shows in Tampa. Then, we'll go back to Dallas for the yearly Allround Halloween specials.
If you don't know what those are - we have costume parties, loud music, food, drinks, so much candy you could overdose and die, and the Masquerade Dance. This year we will also have a rave room or two, so you ravers can finally have your own chill place. Judging the costumes this year will be the job of Malloy Elliot, the Steel Butterflies lead singer.
You'll see old faces and new. In the group category, we have Steel Butterflies, Stripe, Downfall of a Nation, By Knife and Gun, Manta, Black Dress, Texas - and the newer groups - Naughty Hottie, Freakshow, and Syndrome. I think that's all. As usual, I'll be with Steal Butterflies and, maybe, Freakshow & Manta this year. I will also be among the solo artists, like Synsnap, Timothy Haggor, Jacoby "The Twitch" Satturns, Ferret, Eight-Oh-Eight, Pawprint, and my buddy Somebody Cool.
Showtimes are the usual. Country will start at noon and end at 1:30 PM. Pop is 2:00-3:00 PM. Rock/ Heavy Metal is 4:00-6:00 PM. the second round of pop (including synthpop/electropop/dance) starts at 7:00 and by 8:00, fades into the hardcore rave which ends up 9:00. We then repeat the cycles with Rock and Heavy Metal at 9:30-11:30, Pop being 12:00-1:00, and Rave being 1:30-2:30. If you wanna catch me, just follow the bands I play with (Steel Butterflies, possibly Freakshow and Manta). I'll be doing lead guitar for SB, vocals for Freakshow, vocals & lead guitar for Manta. SB is still a rock band. Freakshow is a rave/electropop/dance group. Manta is a rock band a lot like Avenged Sevenfold. If you want to know more about who's with who and who does what, call the director.
Something really new about this All Hallow's Eve tour, is we won't be doing as many covers as we normally do and, instead, bands will write some of their own songs. I helped Steel Butterflies with their song, And As We Drop Like Flies. I've also looked at Freakshow's songs; Around We Go and Looking Back, Too Fast. I think that all of the songs are going to be great. All I know from the other groups, is that Manta's playing Scream by Avenged Sevenfold just for my sake.
So, the tour is October 3-31. We'll visit a lot of major US cities. You have the show times, bands, solo artists, and updates.

I am SO amped. I haven't really been with the AR events lately, so I nearly shat bricks when Clover (Somebody Cool) called me up and told me that I was invited to the All Hallow's Eve tour and, better yet, I had some band offers AND Steel Butterflies was going. It was just too perfect! I, of course, said yes and got the numbers of the band offers I had. I also called up Steel Butterflies and they were insanely happy to hear from me. They were actually talking about changing their name, settling on the current lineup, and trying to get a record deal. Still might happen. Let's cross our fingers, toes, and eyes for them! I asked if settling on the current lineup meant me too, and they said yeah. So the lineup is - Brandy Fishers and Shane Belk on vocals, me on guitar, Nicky Fishers on bass, and Clover Hallafield (Somebody Cool) on drums. We decided we'd be like Black Veil Brides and paint our faces are go out there looking like rockstars. I really hope somebody gets pictures of that.
What am I gonna be for Halloween? That, my dears, is a surprise. I will tell you, though, you won't recognize me at all. And I won't be needing to buy a corset because I already have the figure sorta kinda. I am totally kidding, by the way. I'll be something sexy.
YEAH SO. Got my hair done yesterday. It's black again, all black, black as night. Sam got his dyed, too, though his change wasn't as dramatic - dark reddish brown with the lower layers being bright red. Yeah, Sam is coming with me this time! It's pretty epic, having your boyfriend come along. We also got our ears repierced, and I swapped out my slave ring for a barbell (tongue-wise). I also got my lip done again, now it's back to the way you remember me. Black ear studs, black barbell, and a black lip ring with a black bead. Somebody made the note that I can no longer wear lipstick. Whoever said that, touche. You should know that I wear lip gloss, not lipstick. Damn you. D:< Ahem. Later, once my lip piercing is all healed, I'll get another and have a custom put on there. Two rings, one on each side of my bottom lip, with a little chain between the two. Yeah.
Um. As I did on my very first All Hallow's Eve tour, for he ENTIRE tour, I'll be wearing all black. Entirely black. Because I can. My hair's gotten longer, it's a little past my shoulders now. It makes me feel like Andy Six.
My cat, which smells very strange, loves Lindt coconut. Also, a blender caught on fire last night so I can't have any smoothies. Both of these facts are random, yet important to me.
